My art is in stage light.  My design starts with building a point of view and uses light and timing to incite an emotional response from a live audience.

I have designed more than 300 productions for opera, theatre, music, and dance.  My Opera credits include more than 50 productions for a variety of companies including Atlanta Opera, Dallas Opera, Fort Worth Opera, Opéra de Montréal, Palm Beach Opera, The Opera San Antonio, Opera Tampa and Opera Australia at the Sydney Opera House.  As lighting director for the Fort Worth Opera Festival, I have designed a vast repertoire, including the critically acclaimed world premiere of JFK.

As a founding member Amphibian Stage Productions, I have designed numerous works of theatre including Off Broadway for Leonce & Lena, which the New York Times praised lighting design as “mesmerizing”.  Other theatre productions of note include: Julia Pastrana directed by J.V. Mercanti at the Greenwich Street Theatre, the world premier A Leopard Complains of Its Spots in NY and International theatre festivals in Italy and Russia.

My love of dance began with my mentor Tony Tucci, and Choreographer Bruce Wood who helped launch my career.  I have collaborated on dance in more than 40 cities across the United States for companies including: Ballet Austin, Caroline Calouche, Dallas Dance Festival, Metropolitan Classical Ballet, Texas Ballet Theatre, and Washington Ballet at the Kennedy Center.

I have also had the opportunity to work on a number of unique projects including an art installation for the Dallas Museum of Art, performances by Symphony Orchestras in Austin, Fort Worth, and San Antonio, as well as musical performances by artist like Drew Holcomb, Chris Botti, Renée Fleming, Sharon Irving, Chad Lawson, Lyle Lovett and Willie Nelson.

I am devoted to motivating the next generation of young leaders and artists.  As the Resident Lighting Designer for UNT Opera & Kids Who Care Inc., I work with students and young professionals year round to inspire the next generation of artists and leaders to reach beyond live performance and engage positive change in world.  I love to learn. I am inspired by teaching, and keen on finding the right balance between design and logistics on every project.  I am excited about all of the projects yet to come.
